Thornham Coach House is a country café and licensed restaurant located at Thornham Hall, Thornham Magna in Suffolk. The café and restaurant occupies Thornham Hall’s old coach house which was converted to a dining venue in 2001. Some old world charms have been sympathetically retained – the original tram lined pammet floor, pitch pine beams throughout and vaulted lime washed ceiling.
The south facing wall of the restaurant is adorned with glazed doors leading to a spacious courtyard with tables, seating and parasols for al fresco meals during the warmer months. Thornham Coach House is in a serene location and surrounded by woods, fishing lakes and walking paths. The interesting Victorian Walled Garden is just a stone’s throw away, offering visitors quiet and peaceful surroundings for a leisurely browse. |
Throughout the day, we offer hot and cold beverages, cakes and light refreshments at Thornham Coach House. Hot meals are served during lunch from noon till mid-afternoon followed by afternoon tea where one can enjoy our handmade fruit scones or delight in the full works!
Dinner is served on Friday and Saturday evenings. On Sundays, we offer a traditional roast lunch with two choices of meat and associated trimmings. There are even newspapers available for our keen readers! On the last Saturday of each month, we have a themed evening offering a good selection of exotic cuisine perhaps unobtainable locally. We offer a takeaway option for those who are unable to dine in our restaurant so one can enjoy our food even at home! We are also happy to provide personalized catering for buffets and meals and any other customization to fulfill your needs – please contact us and we will be happy to discuss. |
